Happy Birthday Jesus

Another beautiful, merry christmas has come and gone and i have a pocket full of memories to tuck away and look back on. I always cherish time spent with loved ones celebrating the birth of our Saviour. Feelings of love, joy, peace and hope filled this cozy weekend. It was the perfect way to exit 2016 and prepare for 2017. Now off to the slopes to take in nature and get a full dose of family time away.

'Twas the week before Christmas

I am officially feeling rested and relaxed after a busy exam period and I have been SO enjoying this wonderful time of the year. I love everything about the lead-up to Christmas. The family time, twinkly lights, decorating, gift giving, lazy mornings that turn into afternoons, game nights, festivities etc. and I'm looking forward to the traditions that will follow this weekend, celebrating the birth of God's son! :)
Here are some highlights from this week...the week before Christmas

The Tree Hunt Tradition

The first weekend of December has come! Today's air was crispy, the sun was shining and it was all so beautiful. We went on our annual Christmas tree hunt at the local tree farm  and picked out a very tall, and special tree. Our house is beginning to look a lot like Christmas and I can't wait to spend more time with the ones I love most.

Let Your Feet Wander

"[work] fills your pocket, but adventure fills your soul"
..and fill my soul did you ever...
Moraine Lake your are beyond stunning. You fulfilled my turquoise dreams and I could have spent forever with you.

Lake Louise you too are a work of art. Our creator surpassed Himself.

I look forward to visiting you both again soon :)

Cabin Fever

I love spending time at the cabin. In fact if I could stay there all summer long I would in a heart beat.
Here are some of my favourite moments :)
